The Bamboo Has Many Uses. It is Used in Building Low-Cost Houses in Villages. Bamboos are Used as Pillars of Thatched Houses. These are Used in Thatching, too. Bamboo Stems are Split into Thin Strips. These Strips are Used in Fencing and Making Different Things. Buskets, Furniture and Many Other Cheap and Light Articles are Made of Bamboos. A Coarse Kind of Paper Called Newspaper is Made From Bamboos. Tender Bamboo Shoots are Eaten as Vegetable in Many Countries. Horses are Fond of Them. Bamboos Grow in Large Quantities in India, China, Japan and Africa.

                           Milk is The Most Balanced and Perfect Food. It is White in Colour and Very Tasty. There are Different Kinds of Milk - Milk From The Cow, The Goat, The Buffalo, The Ass, etc. But Cow Milk is By Far The Best Milk. Milk Has Many Uses. Babies Live on It. It is The Best Sort of Food For The Sick and The Old. Milk is Also Added to Tea. Many Food Items Such as Card, Pudding, Butter, Cheese, Ice cream, Ghee etc. are Made From Milk. It is a Must in Worship. We All Should Regularly Take Milk and Milk Products as Much as Possible For Better Health.

                              Water is a Very Useful Thing For Our Life. Without Water Nobody Can Live. The Chemical Symbol of Water is H2O. Water Contains Hydrozen and Oxygen. There are Different Sources of Water Such as Seas, Rivers, Lakes, Ponds, Mountain Tops and Springs. There is a Huge Underground Reserve of Water. Water Has Many Uses. Animals and Human Beings Drink Water to Live. There is 90% Water in The Photoplasm of The Living Cell. Water is Used in Cultivation of Crops, Cooking Foods, Washing Clothes and Things, Bathing and in Mills and Factories. Water is Hence a Very Important Thing and It Should Be Preserved and Kept Free From Pollution at All Costs.

                                   Gold is The Most Precious of All Metals. It is So Valuable Because It is Very Rare and Uncommon. Gold is Found Not in Too Many Places of The World. It is a Soft and Light Metal. In India It is Found at Kolar in Karnataka. Gold is Also The Most Beautiful of All Metals. Its Bright and Shiny Yellow Colour is Quite Attractive. Gold is Mainly Used to Make Ornaments Such as Rings, Bracelets, Necklaces and Brooches. It is Also Used on Tops of Temples and Crowns of Kings. Gold is Also a Sacred Metal. It is Used in Worship and To Bring Fortune.

                              Iron

                                    Iron is The Most Useful of Metals. It is The "Backbone of Modern Civilization". Steel is The Refined Iron. Iron-ore is Found in Mines. Then The Iron-ore is Processed in The Factory. Some Minerals are Mixed With The Iron-ore. There are Different Kinds of Iron Such as Cast-iron, Pig-iron and Wrought-iron. Steel is The Most Refined and Perfect Form of Iron. Iron and Steel Have So Many Uses. These are Used to Build Houses, Bridges, Cars, Railways and Many Other Things. We Can Hardly Make and Manufacture Anything Without Iron.

                               Coal

                                       Coal is a Very Useful Fuel. It is Taken Out From The Mine. It is Black in Colour and is Soft. It is Mainly Made of Carbon. So It Burns So Well. Many Hundred Years Ago The Trees of The Forests Went Under The Ground Following Earthquakes. The Trees Remained There For Many Many Years and Became Coal. It Has Many Uses. Coal is Mainly Used as Fuel. It Makes Good Fires. Coal is Used For Cooking and Keeping Our Homes Warm in Winter. It is Used to Run Steam Engines. Coal Has Many By-products Such as Tar, Gas, Napthalene, Dyes, Saccarine and Others. For All These, Coal is Rightly Called 'Black-diamond'.

                             Salt

                               Salt is a Very Useful Thing. There are Different Kinds of Salt - Common Salt, Rock Salt and Black Salt. Salt is Found in Two Forms - Liquid and Solid Forms. Sea Water is The Biggest Source of Salt. Sodium is The Main Component of Salt and is Necessary For Our Bodies. Salt Has Different Uses. It is Mainly Used in Cooking. We Can Hardly Prepare Any Food Without Salt. Our Food Will Become Tasteless Without Salt. Salt is Used to Keep Meat and Fish Fresh For a Long Time. But Too Much Use of Salt in Food is Bad For Health. Excessive Intake of Salt Causes Cerebral Strokes and Many Other Health Problems.
