Jatin was educated but unemployed. He decided to wait for the king at the palace gate and ask for a job. While waiting, Jatin counted the people who went in through the palace gate. When the King came out for a walk, Jatin said, 'Majesty, I waited all day to see you. In the meantime, I noticed that out of ten strangers that went in, only nine came out.' The soldiers found the stranger hiding in the King's chamber, ready to kill him. The grateful King appointed Jatin as an army commander.
